AFS Group and DIQQ have been working together since August 2021. We interviewed Wietske, their Corporate Recruiter, to elaborate on our successful partnership. During the interview, she discussed their recruitment challenges and how the situation has improved since our collaboration.

"AFS Group is an independent broker, working mainly as an intermediary for financial institutions, corporate clients and (semi)governmental institutions. We have been in business for over 170 years, connecting buyers and sellers. Recently, we have experienced significant growth, increasing the number of employees from 80 to 150. 

Today, AFS Group is a leading provider of financial products and renewable energy. The services provide their large, diversified client base with various renewable solutions."

What did AFS Group struggle with?

"Until 2020, AFS Group didn't have a recruitment department, only an HR manager who managed the recruitment process and was in contact with various agencies. The significant growth led to an in-house recruitment department consisting of an HR manager and a corporate recruiter.

While achieving the desired results in our other departments, we noticed that expanding our IT department was proving to be much more challenging. We received too few applications from qualified candidates, which took too much time. As a result, we ultimately turned to DIQQ."

Shortcut to success

"At first, DIQQ only filled IT vacancies, but the incredible success quickly led to the expansion of their services for other roles. We found that they delivered faster and more effective results than other agencies.

For example, I don't have compliance skills, so I prefer to outsource that to DIQQ because they have the necessary knowledge. They are in contact with candidates, which puts them one step ahead compared to starting the search on your own. While working with an agency may cost a little more, you will achieve success faster."

How would you describe the collaboration?

"The clear communication and fast lines stand out when comparing the collaboration with DIQQ to other recruitment agencies. There is an open communication line in which we can be transparent when there is feedback or criticism about certain matters. It works very well because it allows us to build a natural bond. In addition, I can easily brainstorm with Koen.

DIQQ understands what we need; sometimes, Koen only needs a few words. They listen to our wishes and understand the requirements of the market."

The most important aspect: the results

"Where IT vacancies used to remain open for a long time and the level or speed of the process was disappointing, I now notice that the vacancies are filling much faster. Including better profiles!

DIQQ is an extension of your organisation. Everything is open for discussion, positive and negative. In addition, I have built a relationship with Koen, which works exceptionally well."
